You want to take care of yourself and enjoy your wooden pool in a way other than just relaxing? Good news, there is a practical and efficient solution that allows you to swim, swim, swim, and swim some more without stopping! The external counter-current swimming turbine has been specifically designed for wooden pools, whether above ground or semi-inground.

Let’s discover its features and the very simple steps to install it!

Perfect harmony with your wooden pool

With its natural, warm, and elegant tone, the wooden pool adorns every garden with panache! Once installed, it becomes an integral part of the outdoor area and contributes to its style.

When considering equipping yourself with a counter-current swimming device, the first question is whether it will detract from the aesthetic of your pool. Rest assured, it harmonizes perfectly with existing wooden pools, whether above ground or semi-inground! The turbine is an excellent alternative to the counter-current swimming pump.

Compact and stylish

Enhancing your wooden pool with a NCC (counter-current swimming) system? Yes. Detracting from its aesthetics and disrupting the existing harmony? No, thank you!

The advantage of an external model, with its pretty rounded shapes and compact design, is that it can blend into the pool when submerged. Thus, enjoying the view offered by your wooden pool in the middle of your garden will always be a pleasure.

For all uses

The counter-current swimming turbine is ideal for satisfying your sporty cravings. By adjusting the intensity of the flow generated by the turbine, you can switch from a warm-up swim to a more intense swim. Remember, the principle of counter-current swimming is to allow you to swim without stopping. How?

Thanks to the motor present in the turbine, which sucks in water and spins it at high speed before sending it back out. This creates a current. Wrapped in the movement of the water, you can swim just like in natural surroundings. It’s a wonderfully pleasant sensation!

But the possibilities offered by the external counter-current swimming turbine are even broader. Do you have children? It proves to be a suitable and clever way to teach them to swim safely. During family moments, it transforms your pool into a fun playground!

Installation: an ultra-simple manual

Whether you are a DIY enthusiast or a beginner at leveling, drilling, or nailing, the installation of an external counter-current swimming turbine is child’s play!

SWIMEO has developed an external counter-current swimming turbine that adapts to both above-ground and semi-inground wooden pools. It is the SWIMEO S model, delivered with a technical manual to guide you step by step in its installation. Plan for only three hours to have your turbine ready to be tested… and approved!

The ideal location

Before starting the installation, the first step is to define where to place your turbine. Since this structure is installed on an existing pool, it’s best to consider its location based on other elements already present to avoid hindering their proper functioning.

One of the key components of your wooden pool is your skimmer. It effectively removes impurities that regularly accumulate in your pool, whether they are leaves, insects, or dust. The best option is to install your counter-current swimming turbine on the opposite side of where your skimmer is located.

Finally, depending on the shape of your pool, it is recommended to place it across the width rather than the length to provide maximum space while swimming.

Three elements, three steps

Once the best location for your turbine has been identified, it’s time for installation!

The SWIMEO S model installs in three very simple steps. Start by attaching the turbine to the edge of the pool using the provided mounting plate.

Next, run the electrical cable through the trench that already contains the cables for your other pool equipment, or, if you prefer, dig a parallel trench to differentiate them.

Finally, complete the installation by connecting the cable to the power supply located in your garden shed.

And that’s it! There’s even no need to pierce the liner.

Must-know essentials

Dimensions to respect

On the installation side, there are no particular complexities. On the anticipation side, only one prerequisite is necessary: you need to ensure that the dimensions of your wooden pool are sufficient to accommodate an external counter-current swimming turbine.

Indeed, your pool must measure at least 4 meters in length and 2 meters in width. As for the water depth, it should be at least 1.10 meters.

Maintenance of the external counter-current swimming turbine

An external turbine is designed to live outdoors and be submerged. Thus, the materials it is built from are selected to withstand the specific characteristics inherent in a swimming pool. The treatments used for the pool water, such as salt or chlorine, as well as UV rays cannot damage the system.

No specific maintenance is required! However, if you want to take great care of it, you can perfectly remove it in winter for storage, keeping it warm until it’s time to bring it out again in the good weather.

Its installation is so easy that it will take you little time!
